Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in Food Safety and Quality Management is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field; master's degree is desirable.
  • HACCP Certification, GFSI / SQF practitioner, PCQI, and other relevant certifications.
  • SQF internal auditing experience; audit certification is preferable.
  • Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and state food safety regulations.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% - 50%.
  • Deep knowledge of shell egg regulations and processing is preferred.
  • High attention to detail, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Passion for promoting a food safety culture and a servant leadership mindset.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a team of food safety and quality experts.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of sustainable food safety processes.
  • Evaluate operations to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Identify operational risks and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance by analyzing results from QA and audits.
  • Collaborate to enhance processes related to food safety and compliance.
  • Manage a supplier program ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Ensure regular product testing for compliance with safety standards.
