Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Food Safety and Quality Management preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in food science and technology or a related field; Master’s degree is desirable.
- HACCP Certified, GFSI/SQF practitioner, PCQI, and other applicable certifications.
- Experience in SQF internal auditing preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA, and State food safety regulations required.
- Familiarity with shell egg regulations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for developing a food safety culture.
- Science-based expertise in food safety and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a team of food safety and quality experts to support business growth.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of scalable food safety and quality processes.
- Evaluate internal and external operations for quality compliance.
- Identify operational risks and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards through analysis and trending of QA results.
- Collaborate with various departments to improve compliance and processes across multiple areas.
- Manage a supplier program that adheres to relevant standards.
- Ensure regular product testing for food safety compliance.
