Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Seven years of direct sales experience, preferably in employee benefits or the Healthcare/Insurance industry, with established broker relationships.
  • Three years of leadership experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in meeting sales/revenue goals with major account responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of underwriting, products, services, and healthcare industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate state insurance license within six months of employment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage, train and evaluate regional sales and service teams to achieve goals.
  • Lead and coach Market Directors and Managers in selling VSP products to existing and new accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans for individual accounts to retain and grow membership.
  • Build business relationships and share effective selling techniques with the team.
  • Educate customers on industry and price trends.
  • Ensure the team maintains accurate knowledge of products and services.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments and customers to meet service expectations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to address customer needs and analyze market data.
  • Utilize sales automation for records and report preparation.
  • Monitor performance and conduct coaching and reviews.
