Requirements:
  • ACA/ICAEW qualification or partially qualified with supplementary UK accounting experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years working in client and cloud accounting, ideally handling UK-based SME clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing statutory accounts, corporation tax compliance, VAT filings, and familiarity with UK regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver timely, accurate financial statements, management reports, and tax filings for a portfolio of UK-based SME clients, ensuring compliance with UK standards.
  • Complete VAT returns, corporation tax filings, and other statutory submissions accurately, adapting to new UK tax regulations as they arise.
  • Manage client bookkeeping and monthly closing tasks using cloud-based systems like Xero and QuickBooks to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Strengthen client relationships through proactive support, especially for clients transitioning to cloud accounting, and enhance their confidence in digital tools.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior accountants, focusing on performance, resolving daily challenges, and fostering continuous improvement in team processes and client service quality.
