Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for international labor and employment questions.
  • Develop strategies for international employment questions.
  • Lead employment-related projects to support Lyra’s growth.

  • 7+ years of privacy compliance experience in-house or at a law firm.
  • Strongly preferred qualified and practicing solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Minimum 7 years PQE.
  • Experience in providing employment-related guidance throughout EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.

  • Provide in-house legal counsel on employment related matters, including employment agreements, handbooks, policy issues, workplace investigations, and Employee Relations matters.
  • Work closely with Employee Relations and HR Business Partners to support emerging issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Participate in and influence decision-making with clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify legal risks, provide practical and solution-focused advice.
  • Independently handle legal matters and projects from basic to complex.
  • Supervise outside counsel on employment-related matters.
  • Educate and train internal stakeholders on legal matters, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging laws and trends in labor and employment protection globally.
