- 7+ years of privacy compliance experience in-house or at a law firm.
- Strongly preferred qualified and practicing solicitor in England and Wales.
- Minimum 7 years PQE.
- Experience in providing employment-related guidance throughout EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.
- In-depth knowledge of privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR and UK GDPR, with additional knowledge of HIPAA or US state privacy laws being a plus.
- Demonstrated operational experience translating legal requirements into employment advice.
- Experience leading responses to employee relations incidents and analyzing labor and employment issues globally.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Provide in-house legal counsel on employment related matters, including employment agreements, handbooks, policy issues, workplace investigations, and Employee Relations matters.
- Work closely with Employee Relations and HR Business Partners to support emerging issues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and policies.
- Participate in and influence decision-making with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify legal risks, provide practical and solution-focused advice.
- Independently handle legal matters and projects from basic to complex.
- Supervise outside counsel on employment-related matters.
- Educate and train internal stakeholders on legal matters, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain awareness of emerging laws and trends in labor and employment protection globally.
