Sr Accountant

Requirements:

• Accounting designation, preferably CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA.
• 2+ years Accounting experience, particularly in Technology and Telecommunications.
• Experience in a computerized, fast-paced multi-company, multi-currency environment.
• Hands-on experience with month-end financial packages, budgeting, and year-end functions.
• Strong reconciliation skills and knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial modeling.
• Ability to learn new systems (ERP/BI systems); Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Proactive self-starter with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly.
• Team-oriented, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day accounting for key operations of TCX.
• Assist with month-end close and reconciliation processes, including payroll audits and P&L analytics.
• Provide accounting support for subsidiaries within the Tucows group.
• Primary support for HR and month-end payroll entries.
• Interface with external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Conduct ad hoc account analysis and communicate insights for decision-making.
