The Western Organization of Resource Councils (WORC) empowers grassroots community organizations across the Western United States. We provide training, coordination, and strategic support to help our 18,435 members and 39 local chapters advance social and economic self-sufficiency, particularly for disadvantaged women and families. WORC's impact spans critical issues such as clean energy, natural resource management, food security, and equitable access to political power. We are a nationally recognized leader in community organizing, effectively leveraging our expertise to influence policy and build sustainable change. While our tech stack is currently focused on essential tools like reCAPTCHA, CloudFront, and Very Good Security for security and online engagement, our primary focus remains on community organizing and advocacy. Our team of 11-50 dedicated individuals works collaboratively, both in person and remotely across multiple states. We value equity and diversity, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that empowers our team to make a lasting difference. WORC's mission is to build a just and sustainable society through community action. Founded in 1979, we've built a strong reputation for effectively championing progressive change. We offer a generous benefits package, including comprehensive health insurance, ample paid time off, parental leave, and opportunities for professional development—reflecting our commitment to our employees' well-being and career growth. We're a growing organization continually seeking talented individuals passionate about making a positive impact in their communities. With extensive experience winning campaigns and a strong network of partners, WORC is well-positioned to continue its impactful work for decades to come. We actively seek individuals who share our commitment to equity, collaboration, and transformative change.
