Sr. Backend Engineer, Identity

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in at least one backend programming language, with Golang preferred.
• Experience leading authentication, authorization, and identity management initiatives.
• Industry experience building globally distributed systems in Golang.
• Integration experience with Identity-as-a-Service platforms like Auth0 or Okta.
• Expertise in designing and building RBAC and ABAC authorization systems.
• Pragmatic, methodical, organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
• Desire to grow, learn, and explore new technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop next-generation distributed systems for the HashiCorp Cloud Platform.
• Architect and build systems for managing extremely large-scale global fleets of resources that are scalable and reliable.
• Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, enhancing skills while delivering incremental value.
• Build tools that empower engineers to integrate authentication and authorization into their products.
• Own the full lifecycle of feature development from design through testing and release.
