Requirements:

• 1st line risk experience within a UK bank, financial services company, or fintech.
• Experience in Technology or Financial Crime risk, with knowledge of related controls.
• Leadership experience in a risk and controls environment.
• Experience in leading risk assessments and managing incidents and actions.
• Understanding of industry risk standards and practices.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and attention to detail.
• Comfort with fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
• Hands-on execution and prioritization skills.
• Ability to act as a liaison between teams and represent the company to auditors and regulators.
• Self-starter and autonomous.

Responsibilities:

• Work with teams to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a culture of rigorous controls.
• Define and manage key risk indicators, incidents, management information, and risk assessments.
• Raise awareness of governance initiatives and ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist teams in developing new products and embedding risk practices.
• Lead risk assessments and propose actions to address operational risk losses.
• Guide teams to implement remedial actions for identified deficiencies.
• Report control issues transparently to create a positive risk culture.
