Requirements:
  • Degree in Bachelor's, preferably Accounting.
  • 10+ years of industry accounting experience, telecommunications preferable.
  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience.
  • 5+ years experience managing a team of at least 4.
  • 3+ years as an assistant controller or controller preferred.
  • Experience working in an accounting department of a global company.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptable to audience.
  • Experience in accelerating the monthly close process.
  • Experience with ERP implementations.
  • Extensive work experience in accounting and financial statements.
  • Leadership experience in a global complex company.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage 5 direct reports and develop a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Be accountable for delivering financial statements for the legal entities within the North America region, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Lead the monthly accounting activities, ensuring all revenues, expenses, and balance sheet items are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, and in accordance with IFRS.
  • Own and assist projects within the accounting scope related to finance ERP transformation.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reporting package and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to secure information and resolve issues.
  • Drive the implementation of new policies and procedures.
