Requirements:
  • 3+ years of U.S. payroll tax experience for a large multi-state employer.
  • 1+ years of Canadian payroll tax experience.
  • 2+ years of full-cycle payroll experience with payroll processing software (Ultimate Software/UltiPro is a plus).
  • Ability to operate independently with little oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of local payroll taxes.
  • Advanced Excel skills including V-Lookup and Pivot Tables.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent education & experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Audit all payroll tax accounts for five U.S. entities from CY2020 to present.
  • Manage all payroll tax correspondence, notices, and deliverables for federal, state, and local tax accounts.
  • Interface with UKG for accurate processing of payroll tax obligations.
  • Register and set up state and local tax jurisdictions.
  • Liaison with tax agencies for audits and inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Payroll team for accurate tax processing.
  • Generate post payroll reports for tax-related issues resolution.
  • Quarterly and annual reconciliation of records to submissions.
  • Year-end balancing of W-2s and related forms.
  • Preparation of W-2 Corrections and amended returns.
  • Support employees regarding questions about W-2 and W-2C statements.
  • Provide backup support in multi-state payroll processing.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audit requests and special projects.
