Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or technical degree with 3+ years experience as an Applied Scientist, ML Engineer, or similar role in Computer Vision.
  • Or a Ph.D. in Computer Science or quantitative discipline with 1+ years experience working on Computer Vision.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (C++, Golang, Java, Python).
  • Familiarity with common ML tools (Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with petabyte-scale data from Samsara camera and sensor devices.
  • Optimize models for inference on backend and edge devices.
  • Partner with hardware and full-stack teams for deployment.
  • Stay informed on industry and academic research.
  • Translate customer needs into ML/CV solutions.
  • Champion and embed Samsara's cultural principles.
