Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Consultant or Analyst in the employee benefits brokerage industry for 10+ years.
  • Experience managing or leading a team of EB Analysts.
  • Must obtain and maintain applicable state Life and Health License.
  • Willing and able to travel approximately once per month.
  • Must be located in Pacific Standard Time (PST).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of complex funding arrangements including self-funded, level-funded, and fully insured plans.
  • Experience executing strategic direction of analytic solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs and industry trends.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to innovate methodologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a book of complex self-funded, level funded, and fully insured clients, providing financial reporting and strategic leadership.
  • Coordinate and manage the overall work and projects of assigned analysts, including performance evaluations.
  • Assign clients and organize workflow within the team while providing ongoing feedback for professional development.
  • Participate in hiring processes and assist with meetings to communicate updates.
  • Mentor analysts to support associate growth in emerging markets and identify quality improvement opportunities.
  • Engage with client executives to ensure work quality and provide customized benchmarking analyses.
  • Perform detailed underwriting and IBNR analysis for various benefit plans.
  • Review team needs for marketing updates and participate in contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Lead client presentations and support sales efforts as a subject matter expert.
