Requirements:

• Law degree with strong academic credentials and active membership in a U.S. state or international bar.
• Minimum 12 years total legal experience.
• Minimum 6 years of related experience specializing in product development, privacy or emerging technologies, with both law firm and in-house experience preferred.
• Deep expertise in privacy and technology issues in the Martech and social media industry preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on large and complex projects.
• Experience mentoring junior attorneys and paraprofessional staff in privacy and product advisory areas.
• Proficient with data privacy issues related to AI and Generative AI.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead counsel for product legal counseling to Engineering and Product teams.
• Build a product advisory function and mentor junior attorneys.
• Lead the Privacy legal team to evaluate privacy law impacts and ensure compliance.
• Engage with product leaders to ensure privacy by design practices.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and compliance.
• Create processes for collaboration between Product, Privacy, and Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Partnerships and supporting legal teams for compliance.
• Brand the Product and Privacy team as business-minded attorneys.
