Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years focused on high-throughput distributed systems.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing systems processing 1M+ events per second.
  • Deep expertise with AWS data services (Kinesis, DynamoDB, RedShift, S3, EMR).
  • Strong background in data modeling for both operational and analytical workloads.
  • Experience with real-time stream processing frameworks (Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis).
  • Track record of successfully re-architecting large-scale production systems.
  • Expertise in distributed systems patterns and eventual consistency models.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of a new data platform focused on scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Design and implement real-time data processing pipelines capable of handling tens of thousands of events per second.
  • Architect solutions using AWS services such as Kinesis, DynamoDB, RedShift, and EMR.
  • Create data modeling standards and best practices for the engineering organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new data architecture patterns.
  • Develop migration strategies to transition from current architecture to new solutions.
  • Mentor engineers on data modeling and architectural best practices.
  • Partner with product management to align technical architecture with business goals.
