Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent experience and/or professional certifications in Accounting, Finance or Administration.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of multi-state and provincial payroll regulations and tax laws in the US and Canada.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems including UKGPro, ADP, UKG, and Oracle.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite products, specifically Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and capabilities in process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across North America.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery in compliance with local, state, provincial, and federal regulations.
  • Oversee payroll data management, including employee information, compensation changes, and deductions.
  • Stay updated with payroll regulations and tax laws in all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, legal, and other key internal partners to protect the business and employees.
  • Manage internal and external audits and lead system upgrades.
  • Mentor a team of payroll specialists, provide training and support to enhance team performance.
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions, ensuring effective communication.
