- Prepare and communicate analysis of manufacturing performance and key metrics, including spending and absorption, purchase price variance, work orders, and inventory-driven costs.
- Develop a strong understanding of costing data, including labor, materials, overhead, and standard costing across multiple locations.
- Participate in the month-end close process, including inventory balance and activity tie-outs, reconciliations, and resolution of identified issues.
- Prepare journal entries for reclasses, accruals, and adjustments related to inventory and COGS.
- Perform monthly inventory and cost accounting balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Support SOX control activities related to cost accounting and inventory management.
- Participate in process, systems, and reporting improvements within the cost accounting function, including ERP implementation.
- Participate in annual physical inventory counts and review inventory adjustments.
- Build collaborative relationships with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, FP&A, and Accounting teams.
