- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Active PE license with Electrical focus; must be an NCEES Council Record holder.
- Experience in the solar industry preferred but open to training the right candidate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of applicable provisions of the NEC and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Review and analyze residential and commercial solar design drawings.
- Approve and seal drawings, send RFI’s, submit markups, or disqualify projects based on analysis.
- Perform calculations for load consumption, car chargers, and batteries.
- Build an electrical engineering workflow, creating ownership of analysis processes, details, and QA/QC processes.
- Respond to client and contractor RFI’s in a timely manner.
- Mentor other engineers and technicians on staff.
- Identify new revenue streams for the future of the department.
