Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Active PE license with Electrical focus; must be an NCEES Council Record holder.
Experience in the solar industry preferred but open to training the right candidate.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of applicable provisions of the NEC and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze residential and commercial solar design drawings.
Approve and seal drawings, send RFI’s, submit markups, or disqualify projects based on analysis.
Perform calculations for load consumption, car chargers, and batteries.
Build an electrical engineering workflow, creating ownership of analysis processes, details, and QA/QC processes.
Respond to client and contractor RFI’s in a timely manner.
Mentor other engineers and technicians on staff.
Identify new revenue streams for the future of the department.
