Engineering at The New York Times

You will build and evolve sophisticated data and machine learning infrastructure. We leverage AWS S3 with Apache Iceberg for our data lake, and Confluent Kafka for real-time streaming. Our transformation layer uses Apache Flink, AWS Glue (Spark), and dbt/Athena for analytical data models. Engineers also utilize Amazon DynamoDB for low-latency applications and Google BigQuery for analytics. You will work with a modern tech stack, including Python, Java, Go, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.
