Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, focused on data architecture and cloud-based solutions.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience managing technical teams, including hiring and onboarding.
• Experience designing scalable data platforms, preferably in a cloud environment (AWS).
• Familiarity with AWS services like S3, Airflow, DBT, GLUE, and LAMBDA; expert in Snowflake preferred.
• Proficient in SQL and one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data governance.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and design data solutions, developing scalable data platforms based on business needs.
• Enforce common data design patterns and establish data architecture standards.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Implement security measures for sensitive data and conduct peer code reviews.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning.
• Communicate complex data strategies to non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop training materials and conduct team training sessions.
• Document designs and processes, ensuring effective use by the team.
• Partner with team leads for internal process improvements and automation.
