Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; MBA preferred.
• Generally 10+ years of relevant miscellaneous medical professional liability or healthcare underwriting experience.
• Experience managing both high-volume small business accounts and complex risks.
• Cyber & Technology Underwriting experience preferred but not required.
• Certifications such as CPCU, RPLU, AINS, or similar are desirable.
• Self-motivated with strong relationship management skills; ability to thrive remotely.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute ideas.
• Thorough knowledge of underwriting policies and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse portfolio of miscellaneous medical and telehealth accounts, focusing on risk selection, pricing, retention, growth, and profitability.
• Balance high-volume, quick-turnaround accounts with complex telehealth and tech-related risks.
• Analyze submissions and determine terms and pricing in accordance with guidelines.
• Assess risk quality and make recommendations on risks beyond authority.
• Monitor premiums, costs, and claims ratios to ensure profitability.
• Collaborate closely with management to shape product offerings.
• Contribute ideas and feedback for process improvement.
• Maintain high customer service standards and foster relationships with brokers.
• Participate in team events and occasional travel.
