Requirements:

• Significant experience in improving analytical databases or a PhD in Database systems.
• Extensive experience with database performance tuning techniques.
• Passion for researching database performance parameters and conducting experiments.
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.
• Experience in rapidly prototyping ideas and building MVPs.
• Strong documentation and coding skills, writing clean and tested code.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL, databases, and big data processing tools.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with product teams to understand customer data warehouse needs.
• Research parameters affecting database performance and propose improvements.
• Create rapid proofs of concept for algorithms enhancing performance and cost.
• Mentor engineers in database performance and rapid prototyping.
