Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with 2+ years in claims management or litigation in areas such as Employment Practices Liability, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Directors and Officers Liability, or Errors and Omissions Liability.
  • Previous carrier or broker experience is a plus.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a law degree (J.D.) and professional designations (RPLU, AIC) are highly preferred.
  • All required state claim adjuster licenses must be possessed or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong initiative, leadership skills, and high-level organizational skills.
  • Comfort with a paperless environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs is preferred.
  • Creative thinking and data-driven insights are essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel as necessary (approximately 10-15%).
Responsibilities:
  • Complete accurate and timely investigations into coverage, liability, and damages for assigned claims.
  • Actively manage each claim to achieve timely and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Build positive working relationships with policyholders, brokers, carriers, and Risk Engineers.
  • Direct assignments to experts and counsel, ensuring adherence to service standards.
  • Support data collection by utilizing the claims system effectively.
  • Identify and escalate insights on emerging claims trends.
  • Offer feedback to improve claim handling processes and guidelines.
  • Ensure all interactions reflect the company's brand and mission.
