Claims Manager

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional experience, with a focus on managing claims in specific liability areas.
• Previous carrier or broker experience is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. and professional designations preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain state claim adjuster licenses within 90 days.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• High level of personal initiative and leadership skills.
• Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Comfort operating in a paperless environment and using Microsoft Office; familiarity with Google Docs a plus.
• Creative thinking and data-driven insights to overcome resolution obstacles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a full remote environment and travel as needed (10-15%).

Responsibilities:

• Complete accurate and timely investigations into claims coverage, liability, and damages.
• Manage claims to achieve timely and cost-effective resolutions.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Direct and monitor expert and vendor assignments.
• Support data collection efforts using the claims system.
• Identify and escalate emerging claims trends.
• Provide user-level feedback to improve claim handling processes.
• Ensure brand representation in all communications with insureds and brokers.
