Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands-on technical expertise.
• 5+ years of hands-on Android mobile application development experience using Java or Kotlin.
• Proven track record of leading large projects involving cross-team and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with modern Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self-directed, innovative, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in working with design, product, and data teams to enhance user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Push Reddit’s accessibility goals forward by developing solutions based on WCAG and Android best practices.
• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to drive development on Reddit's cross-platform design system.
• Evolve UI development practices across all Android engineers at Reddit by promoting the adoption of Jetpack Compose.
• Build technical foundations to facilitate rapid experimentation while maintaining quality.
• Serve as a resource for developers facing complex Android development issues.
• Commit to continuous learning to improve both technical and non-technical skill sets.
