Requirements:
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
  • Degree or certification in Paralegal Studies or a related legal field (preferred but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court filing systems.
  • Experience using case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar is a plus).
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document drafting.
  • Prepare, review, and file legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and affidavits.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all records are updated and easily accessible.
  • Manage client communication, including gathering information, responding to inquiries, and following up on case progress.
  • Coordinate with courts, government agencies, and opposing counsel to obtain necessary documentation.
  • Conduct due diligence and fact-check legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and summaries.
  • Track deadlines and manage attorneys’ calendars to ensure timely submission of documents and compliance with court schedules.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
