Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Compliance certifications or a graduate degree a plus).
• 5+ years in a regulatory compliance advisory role.
• Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Experience advising revenue-generating stakeholder groups.
• Strong interest in fintech and consumer financial protections.
• Working knowledge of consumer financial laws and regulations, including UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, FCRA, TCPA, TILA (Reg. Z), and ECOA (Reg. B).
• Inquisitive and proactive in identifying problems and proposing solutions.
• Strong project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex issues.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Product team to optimize Affirm's product offerings by identifying compliance risks and devising strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with the Commercial team to convey compliance requirements for partnerships and respond to compliance-related partner requests.
• Review and approve financial services marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Address compliance issues cross-functionally, identifying root causes and remediating them.
• Develop and maintain training and reference materials for efficient compliance reviews.
• Identify and optimize critical processes to enable scale, conduct risk assessments, support audits, and oversee remediation of issues.
• Lead, manage, and develop direct and indirect reports while overseeing day-to-day team operations.
