Requirements:

• 8+ years of product design experience with 4+ years of leading major initiatives.
• Experience directly with customers to understand their jobs and needs.
• Skilled in researching, designing, and shipping complex products.
• Experience creating low-fidelity artifacts and advancing to prototypes.
• Portfolio demonstrating design and research work is required.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience in critical systems, collaborative work, law enforcement, or public safety is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to deeply understand users' needs and contexts.
• Define and build an innovative experience vision with product management and engineering.
• Apply humane and human-centered design principles throughout the product development cycle.
• Create experience models, prototypes, conduct usability tests, and analyze data.
• Facilitate workshops and co-creation activities.
• Present research findings and design rationale to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams across design, product, engineering, and business.
• Improve design processes and contribute to defining Axon-wide design standards.
