Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience or demonstrated projects in AI, NLP, machine learning, or software engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering or data science experience.
• Proficient in Python with knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Comfortable working with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with transformers, word embeddings, or classical ML approaches.
• Experience designing or maintaining hierarchical skill representations.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Curiosity for continuous learning; fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Conceive and implement the overall system architecture for skill matching.
• Develop a roadmap prioritizing cost efficiency, performance, and extensibility.
• Build and maintain a taxonomy/ontology for skill relationships.
• Automate updates to the skill ontology using AI methods.
• Design and build APIs or microservices for skill matching.
• Manage database interactions ensuring data accuracy.
• Optimize the system for real-time candidate-to-job matching.
• Implement monitoring metrics for system performance.
• Refine matching algorithms based on user feedback.
• Collaborate with product managers to enhance system features.
