Senior General Ledger Accountant

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-growing B2B tech, software, or SaaS environment.
• Experience preferably from a Big 4 Audit firm.
• Completed commercial vocational training as an Accountant.
• Bachelor/Master degree is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in accounting software Oracle NetSuite.
• Familiarity with German and EU VAT law.
• Very strong German and English verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries and manage monthly bookkeeping.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and record adjustments per HGB and IFRS.
• Lead the year-end closing process for local and global entities by preparing financial statements and audit reports.
• Administer intercompany recharge processes.
• Develop and optimize accounting processes.
• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve challenges.
• Oversee and manage Oracle NetSuite ERP inquiries.
• Partner with FP&A for monthly variance analysis.
• Assist with internal financial controls and accounting projects.
