Requirements:

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in volunteer management or a related field.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience with a proven ability to lead teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in managing complex volunteer matters with a focus on compliance.
• Proficiency in volunteer management software and understanding of data protection regulations.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to work independently.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with compliance emphasis.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a comprehensive volunteer program in alignment with Blue Star Families’ mission and goals.
• Develop volunteer role descriptions, policies, and procedures adhering to legal standards.
• Manage volunteer management software, ensuring data protection and privacy.
• Provide strategic recommendations for program improvement and conduct other assigned duties.
• Develop and execute recruitment strategies, oversee onboarding, and ensure compliance.
• Engage with volunteers and organize training sessions, managing schedules and collaboration with staff.
• Implement recognition strategies and conduct feedback sessions to enhance retention.
• Track and analyze volunteer activity data for reporting and budget input.
