Requirements:
  • Advanced university degree in criminology, law, sociology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in countering trafficking in persons (CTIP) or labor migration regulation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing training materials, preferably in CTIP or labor migration regulation.
  • Extensive expertise in developing training materials and facilitating workshops, preferably in CTIP or labor migration regulation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience partnering with government agencies in Turkey on CTIP and migration issues.
  • Experience working in the CIS and Central Asia region.
  • In-depth knowledge of the CTIP landscape in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate organization of the visit of delegations of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan to Turkey.
  • Improve understanding of legal assistance systems available to migrants.
  • Strengthen collaboration in preventing trafficking in persons (TIP).
  • Increase understanding of legal procedures and practices related to TIP investigations.
  • Improve knowledge of transnational referral processes for TIP victims.
  • Explore creation of a working group on mutual legal assistance (MLA) involving Central Asian states and Turkey.
  • Develop recommendations for improving support services for Central Asian migrants.
