Requirements:
  • Demonstrated success developing a sales territory and meeting sales metrics.
  • Experience managing a territory with knowledge of the employee benefits industry and broker relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Possesses applicable insurance license(s) or ability to obtain them within 60 days of hire.
  • 4+ years of outside sales experience in healthcare or employee benefits.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight travel.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full sales cycle: Lead generation to close in assigned territory within group size 10-5,000.
  • Develop new agent, broker, and consultant relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Educate new and existing brokers through meetings, presentations, and calls.
  • Establish appointments with C-level decision makers to present solutions.
  • Present the VBA value proposition to brokers and clients.
  • Execute proposal requests with client-focused solutions.
  • Manage RFP requests and follow up post-quote to finalize designs.
  • Utilize VBA's systems including CRM to track sales metrics.
  • Meet established objectives for submitted, quoted, and written business.
