Requirements:
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in immigration law, specifically with USCIS N-400 naturalization petitions and related immigration processes.
  • Familiarity with USCIS procedures, requirements for N-400 filing, and naturalization eligibility criteria is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in another legal capacity.
  • Proficiency with case management software and other legal tools.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze case documents and prepare N-400 naturalization applications for filing with USCIS, ensuring all forms are complete, accurate, and compliant with USCIS requirements.
  • Communicate with clients regarding the procedural requirements for the N-400 process, assisting with the collection of supporting documents and reviewing case information.
  • Track and manage the status of N-400 cases using case management and billing systems, regularly running reports to monitor case progress.
  • Follow internal intake procedures after clients retain our firm, ensuring accurate data entry for N-400 cases into our case management system.
  • Maintain both digital and physical files for N-400 petitions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documents.
  • Provide clients with regular updates on the progress of their N-400 cases, addressing any concerns and ensuring clear and transparent communication throughout the process.
  • Assist attorneys and other team members with the management of N-400 cases, ensuring timely filings and client satisfaction.
  • Complete tasks and provide updates on N-400 filing progress, raising any issues or concerns to supervisors as necessary.
