Requirements:
  • An ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business, Communication, Finance, Economics, or other relevant fields.
  • 2-4+ years of relevant experience in Business Development in the hospitality business or with a SaaS company.
  • Possesses a wide network within the travel industry in Malaysia.
  • Comfortable with navigating software and conducting webinars/tutorials.
  • Proven experience in delivering live and virtual presentations.
  • Has a focused, 'hunter' mentality to drive new business.
  • Communicates openly and directly while maintaining a consultative approach.
  • Fluent in English; Malay and/or Mandarin are a plus.
  • Experience with SalesForce or other CRM systems.
  • Demonstrates a high level of diplomacy, strong interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
  • Source potential client opportunities via cold calling, email campaigns, and through interactions with industry networks.
  • Respond to all incoming product inquiries, referrals, and leads promptly.
  • Organize face-to-face or online product demonstrations and advanced training sessions.
  • Track existing client base and generate new sales by upselling products.
  • Negotiate contracts while balancing service, client value, and profit margins.
  • Help build and execute a business development plan and identify process improvements.
  • Attend meetings, international conferences, and organize regional road shows as needed.
  • Provide client feedback to the Product Development team.
  • Maintain tracking of efforts in the CRM system and achieve KPIs.
