Requirements:

• High School Degree or GED with a minimum of one year auto appraisal experience required.
• Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree, or Technical School Degree preferred.
• State appraiser and claim handling licenses (where applicable) preferred.
• Two years of auto appraisal experience preferred; insurance carrier experience preferred.
• Strong technical background with knowledge of auto repair and terminology.
• Proficiency in claims appraisal systems and software; Windows, Excel, and Word proficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers consistent service quality throughout the claim life cycle, including contact, explanation of process, expectation setting, and follow-through.
• Manages work assignments and travels to vehicle/equipment locations for inspection.
• Scopes claims using technical expertise and company resources to determine physical claim value.
• Prepares accurate appraisals and establishes claim values.
• Negotiates settlements with customers and repair facilities.
• Partners with Claim Professionals throughout the life of claims.
• Conducts damage management and maintains claims reserves.
