Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in global hazardous materials and dangerous goods compliance.
• Current training and certifications in IATA/49 CFR, DGR, IMDG, and DOT.
• Expert knowledge of hazardous materials and dangerous goods transportation requirements.
• Ability to interpret and provide guidance based on hazardous materials and dangerous goods regulations.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and influencing skills across multiple functions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, review, and updating of dangerous goods program documentation and training procedures.
• Develop strategy to execute and implement global dangerous goods procedures and compliance practices.
• Support new customer onboarding of dangerous goods products.
• Classify products according to their dangerous goods identification number.
• Conduct regular audits of existing dangerous goods classifications at ShipBob facilities.
• Collaborate with suppliers and third-party logistics providers on dangerous goods matters.
• Communicate dangerous goods policies to stakeholders within the organization.
• Develop processes for waste management involving dangerous goods.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices through continuous professional development.
