Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field.
• 5+ years combined experience at a large accounting firm or large retail/eCommerce or manufacturing company.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL, Oracle Cloud, and Alteryx is a plus.
• Aptitude for working with large data sets and systems.
• Strong analytical mind and process improvement focus.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring.
• Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP standards.
• Ability to lead in ambiguity and thrive in a dynamic environment.
• High personal integrity and ethical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Own the preparation of accounting calculations for transportation costs, including accruals.
• Develop accounting processes for new carriers and ensure compliance with SOX standards.
• Streamline analysis of transportation costs for insights and enhanced reporting.
• Participate in process optimization projects to improve operational efficiencies.
• Develop control structures in accordance with SOX 404 requirements.
• Champion financial datasets and provide insights for management.
