Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector or wealth management.
  • Expertise in general accounting, compliance and auditing, budget management, and grants accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAGAS standards.
  • Experience working with investment firms, family offices, or foundations.
  • Familiarity with international compliance laws, particularly Indian FCRA regulations, is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex projects independently.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire grant lifecycle, including proposal development, budget oversight, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and regulatory requirements, including GAGAS standards and international regulations like Indian FCRA laws.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for audit readiness, tax preparation, and budget tracking.
  • Monitor grant spending against budget projections and manage amendments as needed.
  • Collaborate with sub-grantees to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to foundation regulations, including expenditure responsibility requirements.
  • Review and manage legal documents such as grant agreements, sub-award agreements, and service contracts.
  • Act as a compliance expert, ensuring alignment with US and international laws.
