(Sr.) Project Manager – Orexin Research Programs

Requirements:

• BS/MS in a related field with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech research, including 3+ years as a Project Manager or equivalent.
• Proven expertise in project managing small molecule assets through early and late-stage research, including in vitro/in vivo pharmacology, DMPK, and toxicology studies.
• PhD or advanced degree in Life Sciences or related field, with recent experience in neuroscience research and CNS experience.
• Recent understanding of lead generation, lead optimization principles, Candidate Selection, and IND milestone criteria.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and ensure optimal team performance.
• Expert knowledge of project management principles, practices, and software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with research leads and stakeholders to manage activities for multiple research programs, ensuring alignment on timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Lead development and maintenance of integrated program Gantt charts and dashboards for each research asset.
• Support management of studies conducted by external vendors, integrating scientific deliverables into project plans.
• Manage team meetings, including scheduling and follow-up on action items.
• Develop and maintain issue logs and risk registers, ensuring timely issue resolution and risk mitigation.
• Work with cross-functional teams and Finance to develop and update budgets, review research contracts, and manage program spend.
