Requirements:

• Masters or Juris Doctorate degree preferred.
• Eight years of experience in state government, government affairs, advocacy, or relevant industry.
• Optical industry and managed vision care experience preferred.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders to drive policy agendas.
• Ability to navigate multiple projects efficiently.
• Understanding of the intersection between policy and business strategy.
• Business acumen with understanding of the legislative and regulatory process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the company’s principal state government affairs advocate.
• Represent the company's positions on legislation to elected representatives and regulatory agencies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with state and local policymakers and organizations.
• Implement strategies to influence state policies through lobbying and coalition-building.
• Participate in political fundraising events.
• Lead project initiatives and collaborate with consultants and lobbyists.
• Engage with stakeholders to advance the company’s agenda.
• Provide strategic counsel to internal business units and staff senior leadership.
