Requirements:
  • Technical/civil engineering background from a consultant engineering, contractor, or construction product manufacturer.
  • Engineering qualification to degree level, preferably chartered.
  • Experience managing a team and working at a senior level and change management.
  • Use of design software packages such as AUTOCAD, Revit, or 3D Civils.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving ability with a professional, 'can do' attitude.
  • Previous experience within the drainage, water management, or SuDS sectors is desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a high-performing team of approximately 14 members with a focus on performance expectations and mentorship.
  • Drive operational excellence by managing daily activities of the design and engineering function.
  • Ensure efficient project delivery through robust project management processes.
  • Manage resource allocation, meet deadlines, and achieve financial sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, deliver innovative solutions, and lead dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify business opportunities and develop proposals.
  • Cultivate relationships with senior management and represent the company in legislative discussions.
