725 - Network Penetration Tester

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a penetration tester or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, web application security, and network security principles.
• Proficiency in penetration testing tools like Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, and Nessus.
• Understanding of common network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, FTP).
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or GPEN are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Perform penetration testing on networks, wireless systems, APIs, and digital infrastructure to find vulnerabilities.
• Conduct automated and manual testing to identify security flaws and potential exploits.
• Simulate network-based cyberattacks to evaluate firewall and security control effectiveness.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to recommend remediation strategies.
• Analyze test results to assess risks and create comprehensive reports.
• Continuously monitor network systems for threats and evolving attack vectors.
• Document testing methodologies, findings, and mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and trends in network security.
• Refine organizational security policies and compliance efforts.
