Requirements:

• Must have at least 10 years of professional experience in accounting including government/federal experience.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in accounts payable.
• Experience managing a team of 5 or more personnel.
• Full understanding of FAR, JTR and/or federal government contracting.
• Experienced in project-based accounting and accounting systems like Jamis or Deltek.
• 2+ years in a shared services environment or large company.
• Knowledge of general ledger and project cost account coding.
• Proven record of process improvement and internal control implementation.
• Outstanding communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

• Strict adherence to Vendor Maintenance and approval process.
• Develop, establish, and maintain consistent AP processes and procedures.
• Execute accounting operations within AP ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Lead and mentor the AP team including hiring and performance evaluation.
• Manage team productivity and resolve issues with internal and external parties.
• Investigate complex invoice processing discrepancies.
• Prepare month-end closing tasks and assist with year-end preparations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in AP and implement internal controls.
