Sr. DevOps Engineer - Moodle US - Remote

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Moodle hosting and administration.
• Strong knowledge of major operating systems such as Linux and networking concepts.
• Proficiency in general security concepts and server/network best practices.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, PHP, Go, JavaScript, or Bash.
• Extensive issue troubleshooting experience in network, system, and application domains.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure including VPC, EC2, Security Groups, and RDS.
• Experience using configuration management tools, preferably Ansible.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting multiple highly available clusters on AWS based infrastructure.
• Following best current DevOps practices for deployments, availability, performance, and automation.
• Administering applications used for automation.
• Assisting support team with escalated issues pertaining to client facing applications.
• Participating in research and testing of new products and enhancements to overall hosting architecture.
• Tracking all work and requests in a ticketing system.
• Managing and executing on tasks within internal DevOps projects.
