Requirements:
  • 5+ years of customer-facing account management, customer service, or brokerage operations experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing customer-facing employees preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing Truckload (TL), Less-than-Truckload (LTL), and other transportation modes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering a team environment.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple activities to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily workload of Carrier Sales Representatives and ensure adherence to Ascent processes.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for customer issues, providing support to CS Representatives.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, coordinating with leadership.
  • Identify developmental objectives for team members and create plans for their progress.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs and grow carrier relationships.
  • Cover available loads and utilize the quoting process effectively.
  • Resolve carrier issues and recommend improvements to service.
  • Maintain and update carrier profiles, staying current on industry trends.
  • Participate in team initiatives and uphold company guiding principles.
