Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of professional software testing experience with 1-3 years in test automation.
  • Experience in Linux distributed system environments, preferably Debian.
  • Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and craft queries of varying complexity.
  • Knowledge in scripting languages and high-level programming languages.
  • Experience with various testing methods including black-box, functional, integration, performance, and regression testing.
  • Proficient with defect tracking/test management systems (Bugzilla/Testopia, Azure DevOps preferred).
  • Excellent organization, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
  • Working knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies and automated testing practices.
  • Hands-on experience with relevant test tools like Valgrind, OWASP ZAP, Playwright.
Responsibilities:
  • Follow prescribed software quality policies/practices to test Sphere/TrustCommerce software.
  • Create, review, and interpret test plans for product testing completeness.
  • Participate in test strategy discussions and recommend improvements.
  • Identify, document, and manage software defects from discovery through verification.
  • Engage in daily meetings, conduct defect root cause analysis, and report as necessary.
