User Interface Developer (UI)

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in UI development.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of front-end development best practices and design principles.
• Experience with Section 508 compliance and multi-browser support.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and project management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
• Certification in UI development or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git is preferred.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide user experience recommendations and incorporate them into the www.census.gov user interface.
• Integrate front-end with www.census.gov to provide a consistent user experience, including text search and business rules engine.
• Support integration of the front-end into Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar tools.
• Develop multi-browser support ensuring compatibility with various browsers.
• Implement a componentized approach for front-end services.
• Enable personalization features and integrate with existing services.
• Enhance table features and user interface.
• Develop proof of concept(s) and prototypes for stakeholders.
• Provide SEO support for promoting Census Bureau content.
• Enhance web mapping user interface functionality.
