Requirements:

Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
Preferred Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC).
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study preferred.
2+ years of experience with Risk Adjustment HCC coding or abstraction.
2+ years of experience in ICD-10 Coding and Chart Review Auditing.
Comprehensive understanding of HCC coding rules & regulations.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills for developing data trends.

Responsibilities:

Review charts for practices to ensure compliance with AAPC guidelines and provide analysis to assist physicians and staff in improving coding and documentation best practices.
Prepare documents for practices or follow-ups, including chart note examples and coding guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and/or county regulations related to coding and documentation for risk adjustment.
Promote transparency and collaborate with project team members to ensure effective coordination.
