Requirements:
  • Professional accounting qualification or demonstrable qualified experience.
  • Extensive financial management experience overseas.
  • Experience managing and developing small teams.
  • Experience in the INGO sector and with ERP systems.
  • Financial planning and reporting experience.
  • Excellent understanding of financial risk management in developing countries.
  • Spanish language skills desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Programme Managers in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of annual business plans and project budgets.
  • Lead financial monitoring and review of grants/contracts, working closely with operations to report on project costs.
  • Provide oversight and support to local finance teams at all programme locations, ensuring reconciliation of transactions.
  • Ensure implementation of HALO’s financial and logistics policies and review compliance.
  • Manage the short-term cash flow requirements and prepare country financial statements and donor reports.
  • Develop capacity of national finance staff for consistency across programmes.
